How to play

A sum appears at the top and balloons float up with answers on them. Tap the balloon with the right answer to pop it. There are 10 sums and a friendly clock. A wrong tap shows the answer, then the game moves on. It suits children aged about 7 to 12.

Tips for learning times tables

Start with the 2s, 5s and 10s. They are the easiest to spot: answers in the 5s end in 5 or 0, and answers in the 10s end in 0.
Order doesn't matter. 3 × 7 is the same as 7 × 3, so each fact you learn gives you two.
For the 9s, the digits of each answer up to 9 × 10 add up to 9: 9 × 4 = 36, and 3 + 6 = 9.
The 4s are the 2s doubled, and the 8s are the 4s doubled.
A few minutes most days works better than one long session.
